OHBM Alpine Chapter Symposium 2019

Dear colleagues

We hereby invite you to the 5th OHBM Alpine Chapter Symposium which will take place on Friday, October 25, 2019 within the 4th SFCNS Congress 2019, in Lausanne. It is organized by Prof. Christoph Stippich, MD, Vice-president of the Swiss Society of Neuroradiology and Chair of the OHBM Alpine Chapter.

The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) is an important international scientific organization dedicated to advancing the understanding of the anatomical and functional organization of the human brain.

The mission of the Alpine Chapter is to further advance the brain imaging community in the alpine region by organization of educational events on human brain mapping and applied techniques, by fostering scientific discussions and cooperations between institutions and by enhancing the international visibility of regional activities including latest developments in multimodal advanced neuroimaging. This shall also stimulate multicenter scientific chapter studies. The chapter also aims at fostering translational knowledge and applications of imaging tools into clinical practice, building particularly on its comprehensive expertise with clinical fMRI. The chapter provides also rich links with basic and clinical fields in neuroscience, and different brain imaging modalities.

The 5th OHBM Alpine Chapter Symposium will be fully synergistic to the SFCNS conference and should be of high interest to clinicians and researchers of all participating neurosocieties. It will focus on the following topics:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Imaging of sleep and neurodegenerative disorders
  • Stroke and neurovascular diseases
  • Keynote Lecture with Prof. Hallett
  • New brain stimulation methods for therapy
  • Advanced brain tumor imaging

We hope that with this program we have catched your attention and we are looking forward to welcoming you in Lausanne on October 25, 2019!
